Mudpout MUST be ALIVE and weighed between Opening and Closing times of tournament. (Russell Dam Site)

Anglers MUST REGISTER ON LINE before 16h00 on Friday May 9th, 2025 (there is no on-site registration for this event).  In order to qualify for entrance in the derby, Anglers MUST be registered on line before bringing their Mudpout to the fishing derby site for weighing.

All entrants by registering, give permission to the Kin Club of Russell to post their photos on our website, Facebook page and in the press.

Mudpout MUST be caught from the Castor River. (anywhere from confluence at Casselman, Upstream)

Anglers MUST comply with the Ontario Fishing Regulations Summary. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. (NOTE: This includes fishing in any manner within 23 meters downstream from the lower entrance to any fishway, obstruction, or leap (in this case, Russell Dam). 

Winners must be present during the announcing of the winners to receive prizes. (Russell Dam Site)

Any paid entrant who catches one or more mudpout, is entitled to one entry (1) in the draw for the grand prizes (canoe, kayak, etc.).

The organizers reserve the right to amend, add to, remove or otherwise change any of the rules and regulations without prior notice, if it is deemed by them to be in the best interest of all parties in the derby.
