Spanning over 3 days on Mother’s Day weekend, registered participants will have a chance to fish for mud pout along the Castor River.

Thanks to the generous support of local businesses, participants can look forward to another year of incredible prizes, everything from a canoe, kayak, bicycles, fishing rods, tackle boxes, camping equipment, and games.  As always the top 3 “heaviest mud pout caught by youths and a single heaviest mud pout for adults will win a plaque.  Everyone that catches a mud pout will win a prize!

Every angler who catches a mud pout (only) will have an entry for the grand prizes!

This highly anticipated community function has consistently registered approximately 350 participants every year for the last 11 years, with some 200 excited children winning a prize every year. Last tournament, we gave away over $13,000 in prizes!

Safety First!  Youth must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.  It is strongly encouraged that participants bring and wear personal flotation devices (PFDs) when fishing.
