The Good Neighbour’s Food Bank (Russell Township)

The Good Neighbour’s Food Bank distributes food to families of Embrun, Limoges, Marionville and Russell every week.  We give non perishables, fresh vegetables, meat, and prepared meals. The money collected will also help buy gift cards before holidays like Thanksgiving, Easter and Christmas.

Kin Club of Russell’s Storage Centre for Local Service Clubs and Charities

A new local project by the Kin Club of Russell to construct a clean and secure storage facility with multiple sized storage rooms and lockers, along with access to sea cans (shipping containers) for larger items and equipment. All rooms, lockers and containers will be allotted to local various service groups and charities, depending on their needs, free of charge for their club/organization. We believe strongly in supporting our clubs and organizations who unselfishly give back to our community.

Osgoode Care Centre

Osgoode Care Centre is a rural not for profit 100 bed Long Term Care Home.

We rely on donations to enable us to provide an environment conducive to making a home-like, comfortable and safe place to live.

Funds raised through the Catch the Ace will be directed to enhancing the creation of a Serenity Room.  This room will be a dedicated space for end of life care and will enable residents and their loved ones the privacy and dignity required. When End of Life care is not warranted, this room will be available to residents and families to spend time together in a calm and comforting environment

The Valoris Foundation/La Fondation Valoris

The Valoris Foundation aims to support people in the community of Prescott-Russell who need support to carry out projects of social inclusion, community leadership and personal development.

The funds given to the Valoris Foundation will be used to offer donations aimed at carrying out various personal and community projects submitted by children, youth, families, and adults in the Prescott-Russell region. Some of these projects include youth leadership initiatives, including the Community That Care (CTC) program, post-secondary scholarship awards, and the Valoris Christmas Elves Campaign!

Victoria Quilts Canada

Victoria’s Quilts Canada is a non-profit group providing handmade  quilts for people living with cancer of all ages. The quilts we provide are made by volunteers quilters who work independently or in groups.

The work we do is generously supported by sponsors, individual donations and groups fundraising activities. We deliver the quilts at no cost to the requestor or the recipient. I hope you will keep us making quilts and spreading comfort to patients and often to the families through the grieving process.

Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH Foundation)

Our donors help make health care close to home a reality! Many people are surprised that the provincial government does not fund everything that Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) needs to provide compassionate, excellent health care – including the purchase of medical equipment. That’s where the WDMH Foundation comes in. We are grateful to work with generous donors every day.

Proceeds from the 2022 Kin Club of Russell Catch the Ace lottery will be used to help purchase much-needed medical equipment for WDMH.
