Breast Cancer Action (Ottawa)

Why should you choose BCA? Because everyone deserves to have their mother, their grandmother, their BFF, their sister their cousin, their Dad etc…. Make an impact, donate to our grassroots charity that is working to support members living in your community.Cancer is ugly and destroys what was once a nice life filled with goals and activities. The only goal you have is to live And the only activities you have marked on your calendar are your radiation or chemotherapy sessions. The person living with their breast cancer diagnosis lives with it every day, as do their partners and spouses, their children their parents and friends etcetera. They call us from the parking garage at their doctor’s offices; hiding in their closets and from their backyards because they haven’t been able to stick handle how to tell the people who love them that they have cancer. We are in the trenches with our newly diagnosed members with their families. Our vision is to offer as much emotional and physical support for your wellbeing in a positive, easy and informative way. We understand how difficult it is to receive a diagnosis – you might be thinking, now what? We are here and we are prepared to help! Our vision is to make sure that regardless of your gender, those of you working through the next steps of your breast cancer diagnosis receive our support and benefit from our programs.

WDMH Foundation (Winchester District Memorial Hospital and Dundas Manor Long-Term Care Home)

Winchester District Memorial Hospital and Dundas Manor Long-Term Care Home each play a vital role in meeting the health care needs in our community. WDMH requires approximately $1- $2 million worth of medical equipment each year, that is not funded by the provincial government, among other things such education and renovations. We are working diligently to build a new Dundas Manor, bringing more comfort, space and privacy to those who call the residence home. Residents deserve nothing less.

Because of donors like you, care close to home is a reality – not a dream.

Proceeds from this Kin Club of Russell Catch the Ace lottery will be directed to our Health Care Undesignated Fund, to be used at either WDMH or Dundas Manor – wherever the need is greater at the time the donation is received.
