The Kin Club of Russell was a beneficiary of the Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Campaign for 2025… for the 2nd year. Our Club participated at both the Tim Horton’s in Russell and in Embrun, where they iced close to 1800 plus cookies!
50% of the proceeds from each cookie sold from the Tim Hortons’ restaurants in Russell and Embrun, was donated to the Kin Club of Russell. 50% will go to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps
$5,775 was raised for the Kin Club in the 2025 campaign!!!
We are very grateful for the support from the two Tim Horton’s locations. Lisa, the Managers and staff at both Tim’s were there for us throughout the campaign…and they have requested us to be part of their 2026 campaign!!!
This year we gave back the $5,775.00 to some of our local Charities:
- The Kin Club’s Day of Kindness = $2,500.00. This year we are holding 2 Day’s of Kindness, where We will give back to our community and support those in need by paying for their groceries.
- Innovative Community Services (ICSS located in Russell). ICSS is a NFP Charity dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities and giving them opportunities to actively participate in and fully contribute to their community. One of their programs is “ Spread The Joy Mill Street, Russell” , where the individuals craft products (jams, jellies, soaps, pickles, dog treats etc. etc.). These products are then available for sale in their shop. ICSS was in desperate need of a new refrigerator to store their products…so with s assistance from Jean-Francois Julien & Joel Lalonde from Embrun Rona, we stepped up and donated $1,500 to ICSS and now they are thoroughly enjoying their new refrigerator!
- Naomi House: A Safe Shelter For Women In Need-Protecting women with or without children who have been physically, emotionally, sexually or financially threatened or harassed. Naomi House received a cheque from us for $775.00 and will be using those funds to provide food, clothing, toys etc. for the women and children staying at Naomi House
- A Family in need: we will be donating $1,000.00 to a family from our community, one who is struggling to support their family.
